Mimina
The energetic, vibrant and vocally skilled singer, known as Mimina, started making music professionally at the age of 18 during her first year at Nottingham Trent University, where she was discovered at a bar during their open mic night.
Her music is a mixture of world music with a little bit of electric and dance; like early miss dynamite before she got famous, and she has made a conscious effort to focus on the trance, dance and dubstep genres.
“My songs are about taking care of the environment, taking care of the earth, and my philosophy of life and spirituality. They definitely have a message, most of the songs I write do.”
“I don’t write love songs because I’m young, love isn’t a feeling that I have felt strongly about. I write about what I know.”
